Tips: The levels of profit and money before the Border Introduction

In the first scene, when you can get the tour with the robot scrap, follow him all the way to the small campsite with the car in the elevator with burning tires. Collect the loot (weapons, money) on the road and kill all the boys. Once everyone is dead, simply pause the game and go out. It will save your character (level and loot) and start from the beginning to load the game. You can repeat this as many times as you like!

Borderlands is one of the most daring adventures in which he has ventured Gearbox, and is to start a franchise from scratch with many similar references and so much daring as it sounds. But the makers of Brothers in Arms know what they do, and hardened a fantastic mix of shooter and RPG if successful commercially, it will give us powerful new deliveries in the future.

Since we first saw Borderlands at Games Convention in Leipzig in August 2007, the title of 2K Games and Gearbox has changed a lot, which is that little has to do a project with another. Probably discouraged by the appearance of other similar games like Rage or Fallout 3 with which they would not compete with an entirely new brand, the makers of video games like Brothers in Arms or Half Life: Opposing Force is encouraged to take a bold decision to tremendously. This excellent title is developed by 2K (Two K) in case it does not sound, the culprits that have gone through periods of incredible action and fun with titles like Bioshock, (coming soon) Bioshock2, Mafia 2, Sid Meier’s Civilizations and the Darkness to my taste, one of my favorite developers or at least some of my favorite title for PS3. Anyway, after learning that was developed by them and I could not resist as he arrived in Mexico (which took at least a week after its release) I bought it, I could not play until this weekend just because clavadazo had another pair of titles (CoD and Marvel), and finally put it on, WOW!, if I believed or had the idea that it would be good, I definitely fell well short, let’s see, you’re a fan of FPS’s?, chance not as a fan but do not dislike RPG’s? If you answer yes to these questions and you have not, what are you waiting for?! If you are sooooo not a fan of either of these 2 genera I recommend you rent it before buying and see if you like it or not, chance may surprise you! Continue reading »

Gearbox Software’s Borderlands is part first-person shoot ‘em up, part role-playing game, a dusty slog across the planet Pandora in search of the legendary treasures of the Vault.

Along the way, from the bus that drops your player off at the nearly deserted town of Fyrestone to the final showdown at the secretive Vault, a lot of looting and a lot of shooting is gettin’ done. That constant collection of Halo-esque recharging shields, stat-boosting artifacts, character class modifiers, grenade types and “bazillions” of guns is as much of Borderlands appeal as the four player, drop in, drop out cooperative multiplayer mode. Borderlands is a unique game due to it being a first person shooter with roleplaying game elements. Those elements are the ability to level one of four characters, collect millions of different guns and items, along with invest points into skill trees and take on quests. It’s all very reminiscent of Diablo 2 and MMORPGs.

This guide is intended for the hunter class and will give a brief introduction to him as a character, along with give a list of his skills.

In Borderlands, there are four unique character classes that you can use and each specialises in a specific gun type, though all characters can use any gun. They just might not be as good with them due to the character skill trees. This guide is about the Soldier class and he specialises in the combat rifle gun type.

An introduction to the soldier class and his class ability:

The soldier is a former employee of the Atlas corporation, who is the most powerful corporation in the galaxy thanks to the fact they found the original batch of alien technology. They also operate an elite batch of military soldiers known as the Crimson Lance, which is what Roland (the soldier) belonged to. Now then, his unique ability is the ability to summon a scorpio turret that can be upgraded to do various things. For example, it can be upgraded to regenerate the ammo of your character and other party members or to deal more damage.

It’s no secret to anyone within earshot of a Borderlands commercial that Gearbox’s “role-playing shooter” has a lot of guns. According to the interwebs, someone out there has calculated that the number is somewhere above seventeen million: yup, you read right: 17,000,000. So maybe Gearbox’s estimation of 87 bazillion really isn’t that far off after all…

Hyperbole aside, there are only seven weapon types (besides grenades); those being repeaters (pistol), revolvers, shotguns, sub-machine guns (SMG), combat rifles, sniper rifles, and rocket launchers. But those are just types of weapons. Each gun type has its own set of attributes that differentiate it from other similar guns. These differences range from simple things like having scope, to clip size, to its material composition, length, weight, and stability. And then, of course, there are secondary attributes to consider as well: elemental damage, ammo regeneration, and bonuses and minuses to reload speed and rate of fire. Not mention all the different manufacturer’s of weapons on the world of Pandora – like Dahl, Vladof, S&S, Maliwan and more. Continue reading »
